Hey There
What an incredible time. Let's talk a little about what a doula is and how we can support you.
What is a doula?
A doula is someone who offers information, emotional support, and physical support throughout important life experiences. We are certified as holistic full spectrum doulas meaning our support includes fertility, birth, postpartum, and loss. We are naturally minded and offer support through a holistic lens, offering multiple healing modalities to support body, mind and spirit.
Why are birth doulas important?
Doulas provide such an important and sacred roll. Every mother deserves to know the risks and benefits of all her options, have her birth wishes respected and honored, and be supported emotionally and physically throughout this incredible experience no matter how or where she chooses to birth. Birth is vulnerable, and the goal is to make sure you come out of this experience feeling supported, confident, and empowered.

We start preparing for birth with prenatal appointments that cover things like medical options, birth education, preparation, early breastfeeding success, and comfort measures so you can feel prepared and confident going into labour.

We are by your side throughout the entirety of labour offering encouragement (for you and your partner), suggestions and position changes, hands on support like massage, reflexology, counter pressure and more, helping advocate for your birth wishes, and doing all the behind the scenes work that helps your birth go smoothly.

We help navigate the early postpartum period by troubleshooting breastfeeding issues, answering any questions about newborn care, and taking care of the little things for you so you can focus on healing and bonding with your new baby.
